In 1939, Germany established gun control. From 1939 to 1945, 6 million Jews and 7 million others, unable to defend themselves, were exterminated. What did he say when called on his bullshit? According to ABC News, he said this: "I'm not saying gun control was causing the Holocaust in any shape or form and the people who are saying that are motivated by petty partisan politiics [sic]." And, "I believe ultimately, the left, they hate history."
Before he mentions Hitler's Final Solution in his video, Joe, shall we say, implies that the Armenian Genocide happened because they couldn't defend themselves due to gun control. Neither of these two events had anything to do with radical nationalism. Apparently, I missed a couple of days in both my German and Near and Middle East history classes. Or maybe my well-respected history professor was a lefty who hated history.
ABCNews claimed that Joe tweeted in his defense: "Hitler wrote in Mein Kampf that his agenda would not be possible unless the people were disarmed." [I don't see the Tweet in his Twitter feed, but it could have been deleted.]
According to Politico, Joe's spokesman said there was nothing offensive. And that is was based on fact. Oh, and according to his spokesman, slaves in the American south weren't allowed to own guns. "So, it would seem that the argument might apply there as well."

If anyone really understands the Holocaust, it would have to be plumbers from Toledo.
Problem is, if he airs this thing enough, and people hear/see it enough, they'll believe it. The dumbing down of America continues...glad you're doing your part to point out the idiocy!!
