You know when you're having a conversation and one sentence will just make you laugh? That happened today when I was talking to my hairdresser. The sentence that did it?
She said, "Thankfully all the people who were into vampires don't work here anymore."
I couldn't stop giggling. They had a book club and everything. It wasn't devoted to just vampire books, but that's mostly what they read.
My hairdresser went to to say she liked her book characters (she is an English Lit major) to be more sci-fi: cyborgs, robots, aliens.
I prefer my characters to be people, I told her. "Oh, you like mundane books, then. Books about doing laundry and washing dishes."
Yeah, I guess I do.
By the way, this is the most boring post ever.
